Four weeks commencing 10am Thursday 13 March 2014.

Meeting at various venues around Auckland. Previous walks have included Onepoto Basin, Tahuna Torea, Wattle Downs Walkway, Panmure Basin circuit, Auckland Museum environs.

Walks for Term 1 2014:
13 March. Meet at ASB Stadium next to Selwyn College to explore Kepa Bush, Orakei. A native reserve on the bank of the Purewa Stream which flows into the Orakei Basin.
20 March. Kendalls Bay. Coastal mixed native and exotic forest with replanting in progress.
27 March. Kauri Glen, Cecil Eady Bush, Le Roys Bush and Little Shoal Bay
3 April. Cornwall Park to Mt Eden. Short part of the Coast to Coast Walkway to the best view in Auckland and see an interesting garden or two.

A unique opportunity to explore your local area with a Friendly Walking Group and qualified outdoor leader. Each week involves a trip to a bush or coastal area of natural beauty and interest in and around the Auckland area including parks and out of the way reserves, private bush, wetlands and many places you may not have heard of.

Guide, Lorna Johnson, is an enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable outdoor leader who can show you pockets of Auckland that many never see.
