Stroll along the one kilometre light trail of 500,000 sparkling lights that envelope lake-side walkways.

Meander under a wonderful canopy of fairylit trees and enjoy the trail of more than 40 different light animations and instalments made by local artists Christ Edmonds, Jil of Aotearoa, Mike Smith, Anthony Smith, James Harris and Billy Glover.

Enjoy the spectacular Unison Christmas Tree made of ribbons of light that transform into playful images you would never dream of.

Run to and fro to the "Twelve Days of Christmas" display, dance on our disco stage, grab a mike and sing to your favourite songs from "Frozen" movie or join the singing pumpkins to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

There are two labyrinths made of fairy lights to weave your way through and experience.

The lights are turned on after dark at 9.00pm and then the wonder begins for young and old alike. We're open every night, rain or shine including Christmas night.

New Year's eve we open at 8.30pm. Enjoy a family concert featuring popular Hawke's Bay band Pulse, try free kiddies slides, make a wish star lantern and enjoy an early bird New Year fireworks display for kiddies at 9.45pm.

Toilets available. Our friendly staff members along the walkways are there to provide any help.

Funded by Hastings District Council, NZ Lotteries, Hastings Creative Communities, Eastern & Central Community Trust, First Light Foundation and Public Dreams Trust and run by 150 volunteers. Gate sales goes towards adding new light displays each year.

Entry via Gate B, Karamu Rd, (State Highway 2).

Happy holidays!
