An exciting five-a-side version of football is coming to New Plymouth, thanks to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015.

Futsal is the world’s fastest-growing indoor sport, and the LOC is bringing a newly purchased portable pitch to New Plymouth as part of a national promotion of next year’s world cup event.

The futsal pitch will be in place on the green space next to the Wind Wand car park from 25 to 29 June, with sessions run by Futsal Whites coach Scott Gilligan– one of only 12 FIFA qualified Futsal coaches in the world.

Teams must be registered and spaces are limited – please book your team in by emailing adrienne@fifau20.co.nz or phoning 027 700 7739. More information about the Futsal Court in New Plymouth including the schedule and the drop in ‘Have a Go’ sessions is online at www.fifau20.taranaki.info.
