Fresh Shorts and Premiere Shorts are currently two of the funds of the NZ Film Commission that are set up to encourage the creation of long-form storytelling. Whetu Fala, Acting Short Film Manager for the NZ Film Commission, presents an informal discussion about what these funds have achieved, while also providing a general discussion on what may be in store for future filmmakers.

Speaker : Whetu Fala is Acting Short Film Manager for the NZ Film Commission. The NZ Film Commission is a crown entity working to grow NZ films: Through their financing and administration of incentive schemes, the NZ Film Commission has been involved in more than 300 feature films including Boy, Goodbye Pork Pie, Heavenly Creatures, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Avatar, Whale Rider and Mr Pip.
