At 10:30, Olivia Francis who is currently studying violin at Auckland University will play for us. Olivia played for us last year as 1st violinist in the Rothko Quartet. On Friday she will play solo violin works accompanied on the piano by her twin sister, Grace. Grace was a finalist in the 2013 Wallace National Piano Competition and is currently preparing for her Honours recital at Auckland University. She will play a solo piano work for us. At around 11 am Barry Clapham will interview Tito Munoz, the conductor for the APO’s Slavonic Dances concert on 1 May.

Most recently serving as Music Director of the Opéra National de Lorraine and the Orchestre symphonique et lyrique de Nancy, Tito’s previous appointments have included a three-year tenure as Assistant Conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra and League of American Orchestras Conducting Fellow, and Assistant Conductor positions with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.
