The new year provides us time to think about our habits - and sometimes make changes to our everyday life. What else can we be doing to further protect our environment?

With many inexpensive and planet friendly options for rubbish disposal in our region, the Sustainability Trust based in Wellington is hosting Graduate Women Wellington (GWW) members and friends to share how to improve on wasteful habits, and why landfills are a problematic solution for our rubbish in the first place. With up to 70% of a household’s waste with the ability to be recycled, upcycled or composted, this workshop should be interesting and useful for members and friends.

Community Projects Manager Christina Bellis will introduce to the Trust’s work, then Janet Young Sustainability Advisor will lead us through a ‘When Less is More’ workshop and help us understand how we can do a bit more to save the planet.

Do tell your friends and bring guests.

This is a free event for GWW members and encourage you to bring along friends. We will provide a donation box for the event to help cover hosting costs of the Sustainability Trust.

RSVP by Thursday 13 February, 5pm with names of people who can attend to Suming Zhang:

If you wish to go out for dinner afterwards, please indicate this. GWW will co-ordinate a group reservation at Grand Century Chinese Restaurant on Tory Street for those who are interested from 7pm.
