A little bit more about the comics....

Brendhan Lovegrove, star of TVNZs night at the classic is widely thought of as NZs best comedian, having picked up the title 7 years in a row at the NZ comedy Guild awards. His electrifying presence and honesty delights and shocks his audience.

Brendhan has appeared on numerous local television programmes including all 8 series of Pulp Comedy TV, the last series of which he hosted. He stars in TVNZ's mockumentary 'A Night At The Classic' Season 1 and 2; as well as several appearances on TV3's 7 Days.

Guy williams, as seen on TV3's "Jono & Ben at Ten" was 'highly commended' at the 2008 Raw Comedy Finals and has since gone on to win the converted Billy T Award in 2012. He is proud to say he has opened for Dai Henwood (successfully), Steve Wrigley (successfully) and Raybon Kan (unsuccessfully).

Guy has worked on several TV shows including: "The Jono Project" on C4, "World Famous with Ben & Steve" and the popular Friday night comedy "Jono & Ben at Ten." His TV antics often landing him on national news or newspaper headlines.

Jamie Bowen recently returned from performing at the Sydney Opera House. Here's a personal note from him:
Hello,
My name is Jamie. I am a comedian who is easily identifiable as a human man. I've been working as a comic for over 15 years and I've done shows all across New Zealand and Australia as well as Asia, UK and Europe. I've performed in over a dozen New Zealand International Comedy Festivals and appeared on local TV shows such as 7 Days, Comedy Gala, AotearoHa, WannaBen, Jono’s New Show, Big Comedy Jam and Comedy Central. You've likely seen none of these but I did them and Mum has all the VCR's to prove it. I have also lost the Billy T Award four times. This is important to note.

I work as a regular writer for 7 Days. I was also one of the creators and writers for both series of A Night At The Classic for TVNZ

My latest show Heart Goes Boom was nominated for Best Comedy at the 2014 Dunedin Fringe and received a nomination for the prestigious 2014 Fred Award as part of the 2014 New Zealand International Comedy Festival (along side Rhys Darby and won by Trygve Wakenshaw). No winning for me here, either.

But then... Most importantly...I won Best Beard at the 2014 NZICF. This is my crowning achievement to date.

Beloved Tarun Mohanbhai, is the Star of TV3's current series '1000 Apologies' and The Millen Baird Show. A previous Billy T Award nominee, Winner of 'BEST SHOW' - 2004 NZ International Comedy Festival. Tarun's warmth and wit have made him a favourite in NZ comedy. His jokes really are the best medicine.
