In Good Company's exciting new art show 'Exhibit A: A pop art and illustration-inspired exhibition' opens this Thursday 24th July at 6pm.

Three artists- Sinclair Grant, Lucille Rauscher and Timothy Marsh explore the medium of illustration in their own unique way in this month-long exhibition at In Good Company Space, Cuba Street. All hailing from a graphic design background, their art is largely a break away from their day-to-day jobs and a space for invention and play.

A former miner of industrial Australia, Sinclair Grant’s intricately illustrated & hyper-realistic work is inspired by pop-culture movie posters of the 70s and 80s. His work is vibrant, action-packed and powerful. He is largely self- taught.

Lucille Rauscher is a French graphic designer whose work is largely comprised of delicate colour contrasted with bold, black lines. The work is a move away from her commercial design sensibility, and a step toward the spontaneous realm of cartoon imagery. Framed wall pieces, paintings on wood, plus a book of her individual paper works will be on display.

A member of the In Good company crew, Timothy Marsh, divides his time between helping run the space, developing branding and design material for it and drawing cartoons. Having recently struck a relationship with pasting his work on the street, Marsh’s neo-pop character paintings are presented in a way representative of this process. His award-winning comic Tummy Troubles will also be for sale.

Come join the fun on the 24th of July for the opening night of this month-long treat of illustration delight!

Light refreshments provided at opening event. Koha welcome.
