Jeu Play is an open-access interactive digital art and music installation which inhabits a shipping container. You are invited to explore, perform and interact with a collection of digital instruments made from hacked game controllers and suspended by fluorescent strapping to look like something from a futuristic fitness gym. Periodically, the installation changes mode and a conductor invites a group from the audience to choose an ‘interface’ and become part of an orchestra performance. The ensemble of novice instrumentalists is then ready to perform a symphony together.

Jeu Play is a collaborative project between Interrupt Collective and New Orchestra Practices NZ.

A highlight of the 2013 Auckland Fringe programme... whether young or old, interacting or observing, their enjoyment was near constant. Michael Keating, Director Auckland Fringe 2013.
