Babywearing is the practice of keeping your baby close by carrying them in a sling, wrap or carrier. The Kapiti Babywearing Group is celebrating our first New Zealand Babywearing Week by hosting a free family slingwalk.

Babywearing is not compulsory! All families are welcome along with strollers/prams, walkers, bikes / scooters, friends etc. You are also welcome to join the Kapiti Babywearing Group to borrow a carrier (find us on Facebook).

First 30 families to register on the day get a free goodie bag loaded with treats and discount vouchers.
Fabulous spot prizes donated by local businesses including Lindale Farm Family annual pass, Body Indulgence facial, vouchers, and more!

A relaxing and easy path suitable for little legs and strollers.
Rain or shine the walk will continue, however, if there is severe weather forecast please check our Facebook page for postponements.

Registrations from 9:45am near the duck pond in MacLeans Park.
