With a theme of “Kiwi As – Music is in our DNA”, this concert, which will mark the choir’s 30th anniversary, will involve music that reflects Kiwi characteristics such as friendliness, ingenuity, being easy-going and nature-loving people, who are proud of their country and cultural heritage. The concert will encompass variety of styles, and will include music from NZ composers, such as Anthony Ritchie and David Childs, as well as Purcell, Schubert, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Sullivan, John. Rutter, Eric Whitacre and jazz and pop choral songs.

The concert will also see the first performance of a specially commissioned work by up and coming NZ choral composer Andrew Baldwin.

This concert will be an opportunity for the audience to hear some of the highlights of the choir's repertoire as well as some works not previously performed.

Guest conductor for the concert is well known Auckland conductor and musician Peter Watts, former Musical Director of Auckland Choral Society, Assistant Conductor of New Zealand Youth Choir, and founder of the choral group Calico Jam.
