Bring all the family to celebrate the new Year of the Horse at Auckland's 15th annual Lantern Festival. The 2014 Lantern Festival is set to be the biggest and brightest yet, with entertainment and celebrations spread across two sites -- Albert Park and Queens Wharf on the waterfront -- and four nights.

Albert Park: Choose from dozens of delicious Asian food stalls and picnic on the grass amidst hundreds of beautiful lanterns specially imported from China. Non-stop entertainment on our main stage includes the renowned Tang Dynasty rock band from Beijing, the all-girl Butterfly music group from Hangzhou, and the stunning Jiangzhou drummers from Shanghai. Highlights include a ‘lantern-only’ night at Albert Park on Thursday 13 February, where the magical hand-made creations can be enjoyed in a more relaxed environment, and the spectacular fireworks finale on Sunday night.

Queens Wharf: Wander down to Queens Wharf on the waterfront on the evenings of Friday 14 to Sunday 16 February (2pm till 9pm) to enjoy outdoor movies, a contemporary sand painting artist from Hong Kong and kids' craft activities.

Not to be missed! The Lantern Festival is brought to you by Asia New Zealand Foundation in partnership with Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED).
