Mark Hadlow, one of New Zealand’s most beloved actors returns to the stage as that most polarising of characters – a middle aged man in lycra. MAMIL is a new play by Gregory Cooper and is coming to Taupo following hugely successful seasons in Auckland and Wellington.

It’s 2007, months before the GFC makes everyone go WTF. Bryan Cook, property developer and Tom Jones obsessive is busy building a small fortune building leaky homes. When his life falls apart he joins a men’s cycling group to put it back together and finds himself on the road in lycra, sweating out fear and failure one hill-climb at a time.

10 Characters. One bike. All lycra.

‘This production will be one of the highlights of the year. It is a must see show for men and women.’ - Dominion Post
