Sustainability: Today’s actions for Tomorrow’s future

Promoting sustainability in our community, bringing together our regions environmental and sustainable living options to encourage mindfulness in our choices. Families and young people and those who may not necessarily already have an interest in sustainability.

Our Vision and Mission Statement: Promote sustainability of resource as a viable option for communities. Encourage and educate people on the principles of good stewardship of the environment and resources for the benefit of this and future generations. Enhance the health and welfare of people generally through education and hands on learning in relation to sustainable principles.

Another resounding success in 2013, the Sustainable Living Trust presents, Manawatu Harvest Festival November 1, 2014.The festival to showcase sustainable living practices and values, sharing this knowledge in a fun and festive atmosphere, in the hub of the Manawatu, Te Manawa Museum and Science Centre. Also this year we will be moving some of the event into the newly renovated Globe Theatre, opening up more theatre space for speakers, and demonstrators, while creating a more virbrant outdoor and entrance areas.
