Show Day also features Visual Art in Harmony with local artists being invited to enter a competition featuring the “Camellia” as the title. Works will be produced in the artist’s chosen medium and it is envisaged most will be for sale.

10am - 12pm (Free Entry to Public)
The day begins with our Associated attractions opening outside.
Dr. Newstrom-Lloyd from Landcare Research will be in attendance in the Associated attraction’s area for questions.
Craft stalls: jewellery, knitting, homemade jams, relish, garden ornaments, lavender products etc

12pm—National Camellia Show opens
"You will see around 1,000 blooms of differings sizes, shapes and species which will produce a sea of colour. For members of the public, you could enhance this by bringing your own camellias from your garden in colours white, pink, red, and variegated to enter them in the Novice class. The times for entering them are on the Friday between 4.00pm and 8.00pm or on Saturday between 7.00am and 8.30am. There is no cost to do so, and you do no need to know the names. There will be a member present to assist you to enter the blooms. You may win a prize".

Public Entry—$5 (children free). Your ticket is numbered. Prizes for lucky numbers during the afternoon!
