Open Mic has never been easier, with the Community Cafe and partnering groups coming together every fortnight Wednesday (for the past 2 years) to host this one of a kind event.

Wednesday 2nd July, will be our final Open Mic jam at the venue before we relocate to a new premises in the coming month. So we're celebrating the past, present and future of our community, not to mention calling out our past performers to make this a memorable night. We'll have NZ's talented RNB, funk, soul band Ministry of Tone to set the evening ablaze.

Come and see the amazing talent unearthed here, amidst a positive and uplifting atmosphere. Here’s where your opportunity starts, with the stage set, lighting, full band backing (if required) and an audience to show their appreciation, this is open mic!

Musicians are welcome to bring their instruments, though we have some available there's always a special outcome when it comes to contributing to that live feel. NZ's world famous Three Houses Down band will ensure you are professionally and musically backed for your performance, plus a live DJ for backing tracks is available.

The Cafe is open late with our friendly staff serving up a matchless dining experience with non-alcoholic drinks (dry site). This is the safest environment for all to come together and showcase the raw, seasoned and inspiring talent in our community.

Our open mic evenings can boast of both local and international famed musicians like; Three Houses Down, Sammy J, Ria, Swiss, Teki, Sammielz, J Williams, Finn the Groovah, Dei Hamo, Spawnbreezie, TJ Tautoa, Lavina & Emily Williams, Ria Hall, Adeaze, Tree Vaifale, Zamar, Grace Ikenasio, Indira Moala, Psalms, Rizvan, Cydel, Giant Killa plus much more.
