Join us for the Japanese Film Evenings for 2014!

Japanese films shown at the University of Waikato are usually screened on the second or third Thursday of the month from 7:00pm.

April film "Osaka Story"

Very lovely and touching family story centred at a teen girl.

Wakana, aged 14, is the daughter of of a husband and wife comedy act, who have worked together for 20 years without any big success. . The father constantly cheats on his wife and eventually they divorced after he makes his lover pregnant.

Father and mother are now divorced still worked together. But the father starts drinking heavily and this is start to show up on stage. When one day her father disappears, Wakana sets out to find him.
