Pick & Mix - Tales of the Sun

Every Saturday from 21 June to 6 September 2014, get a taste for the performing arts. We have 12 weeks of free family fun to get you through winter! From ballet to comedy, story-telling to hip hop, and theatre techniques, there is something for everyone in our 2014 Pick & Mix programme. Every Saturday morning, musicians, dancers, actors and storytellers will perform and run workshops for the whole family to enjoy for free. This is a great opportunity to introduce your kids, family and friends to performing arts entertainment and activities. Come and go as you please, there are no tickets or allocated seating. Just turn up and join in the fun or just relax and be entertained - it’s the perfect start to the weekend.

Tales of the Sun
Performance 10.30am
Myths and legends about the all powerful Sun are retold and performed by a slightly mad story teller and a slightly madder sidekick. Join us for puppets, poems and hare brained hilarity.

Workshop 11.30am
Flaxworks theatre company’s Alex Ellis and Phil Ormsby will help you to improvise, create and perform your own fantastical Sun Tale.
