The Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and MTG Hawke’s Bay invites you to a talk by Pip Cheshire, recipient of the NZIA Gold Medal 2013.

For ten years Cheshire Architects has been working on the Marsden Cross Heritage Park project in the Bay of Islands. This project commemorates the first formal engagement of Māori and Pakeha 25 years before the Treaty of Waitangi and Pip will illustrate progress to date on this fascinating project.

It will also be an opportunity to hear Pip’s reflection on New Zealand’s representation at the ground zero of global architecture, the Venice Biennale, from which he has recently returned.

Event sponsors Resene Paints Limited invite you to share in a drink and nibbles from 5.30pm, talk starts at 6pm.

Entry is by donation and tickets will not be issued for this event, so please arrive early to secure a seat.
