The Polynesian Festival is a celebrated annual event, full of colour, music and dance. The purpose of Polyfest is to demonstrate students' pride in their cultural identity and heritage, and bring schools and their different cultures together.

Polyfest attracts large numbers of people from communities in and around Porirua.

Tawa College has the honour of hosting the 2014 edition of Polyfest. Other schools involved are Porirua College, Mana College, Bishop Viard College, Aotea College, Samuel Marsden Whitby and Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Porirua.

Performance groups will include Cook Island Maori, kapa haka, Samoan, Tongan, Niuean, Tahitian, Fijian, Tokelauan, Tuvaluan and Kiribati.

This is a spectacular event. Please keep this day free to join in the festivities.
