The wait is over – for the first time in 30 years – Dainty Group is delighted to reveal that legendary superstar band Queen + Adam Lambert have confirmed that their ‘Once In A Lifetime Tour’ will now come to New Zealand. "Let's rock those beautiful arenas just one more time!” said Brian May.

Queen and Adam Lambert can now announce that their only New Zealand show will take place on Wednesday 3rd September at Auckland’s Vector Arena. Due to huge demand, extra shows have been added to their Australian tour dates and tickets to Auckland’s show are sure to be just as hot – if you can get one!

Fans will undoubtedly be thrilled with this news and can look forward to a truly stunning production that encapsulates all the operatic spectacle and glamour befitting a Queen performance.

This is the first Queen tour of New Zealand since 1985 and will be an extraordinary once in a lifetime opportunity to witness one of the world’s most loved rock bands perform a hit-heavy set of some of the greatest rock songs ever written. Many would say the greatest ever. Not to be missed!

Advance tickets for the Queen and Adam Lambert 2014 concert at Vector Arena will be available via the Ticketmaster and Dainty Group presale from 9.00am Monday 21st July 2014 until 5.00pm Wednesday 23rd July 2014.

Tickets to the general public will go on sale at 9am on Thursday 24th July through Ticketmaster.

The 24 date North American tour opened up in Chicago a month ago with Queen and Adam Lambert delivering a true rock extravaganza complete with their trademark essential grandiose flourishes that garnered rave reviews.

“The tour's opening show was a spectacle of the grandest order...Queen have a boatload of hits…
and a boatload more” - Rolling Stone, June 2014

“…the show epitomized Queen, in all its flamboyant glory” – Chicago Tribune, June 2014

“Rafter-raising showstoppers including “We are the Champions” and “The Show Must Go On” displayed Lambert’s pop sensibility and dizzying range while simultaneously showcasing May’s unparalleled rock soloing technique” – Chicago Sun Times, June 2014

Promoter Paul Dainty said of this momentous tour “Since I started promoting and producing concert tours, one of my biggest dreams has been to bring Queen back to Australasia and now this dream is a reality. This may be the last chance New Zealand fans have to see one of the greatest rock bands in history and, as Rolling Stone recently said ‘’Adam Lambert fronting Queen will astound audiences.”

The threesome first shared the stage during American Idol in May 2009 for a performance of “We Are The Champions”. They teamed up again in 2011 at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland for an electrifying eight-minute finale of “The Show Must Go On”, “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions” and in the summer of 2012, Lambert performed a series of shows with Queen across Europe as well as dates in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. They also performed three sold-out gigs at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

“I'm completely in awe of the Queen phenomenon,” says Lambert. “The thought of sharing the stage for a full set in Australasia is so beautifully surreal. I'm honoured to be able to pay my respects to Freddie's memory; he's a personal hero of mine, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to sing such powerful music for fans of this legendary band. I know this tour will be a huge milestone for me, and with the support of Brian, Roger and the rest of the band, I feel like magic will be on display.”
