Four postgraduate students from the Classical Performance Programme – two violinists and two singers – present a showcase concert in the NZSM Concert Hall on the Mt Cook Campus.

Blythe Press, who is studying towards a doctoral-level Artists Diploma in Violin Performance, will play works by Elgar and Brahms while DMA candidate James Jin, who has been studying in San Francisco will play contrasting works by Bloch and Chinese composer Gang Chen.

Daniela-Rosa Cepeda and Christian Thurston both took lead roles in 2013's full-scale production of Verdi's Il corsaro. In this concert they will sing a selection of arias including works by Donizetti and Gounod.

[Due to circumstances beyond our control the previously advertised programme from Mark Donlon, Head of Jazz, was not able to be presented today and will be rescheduled for a later concert.]
