A Xmas Extravaganza featuring the first fully fledged "show" of The Boundary Riders with Band, lighting, set, costumes, and more besides. Taking you on a magical journey that is full of the Xmas wonder of times past......delve into the Victorian period and into the lives of six women from our NZ past - the tale of the Washer Woman, The Goldminer, The Magician, the Fraudster, The Notorious Prostitute, and the Missionary Wife. Tales that will make you laugh, cry, stare in wonder, beguile, shock and absorb you and draw you into history as never before.

Featuring Stuart Grimshaw on Bass, Accordian and BVx, Yvette Audain on Sax, Whistle and Clarinet, Rachel Dawick on vocals and guitar and special guests......

" Delivering a beautifully packaged album and subsequently a book also; The Boundary Riders delves deep into our past and gives weight to the lives of ladies untold, like Barbara Weldon, Elizabeth Colenso and Amy Bock. Split over two discs, the rich narrative that Dawick has created is split into an album containing the show performance and songs and also the songs on a separate disc on their own so just can just get into the excellent down-home NZ folk, blues-country and at times Bluegrassy feels. ....There’s a stunning display of song writing and musicianship on display here (Dawick studied extensively overseas to hone her craft and it shows!) with everything from saloon-drawl groove to spicy bhangra melodies"... - Musicnet Sept 2014 album and book review.

"Rachel Dawick isn't a historian but her new album The Boundary Riders is an invaluable body of work that traverses genres and captures the untold stories of Kiwi pioneer women..." - NZ Herald Sept 2014

Our Victorian Xmas special celebrates the arrival of a new more indepth book that follows the success of the double album and accompanying book. Stylised as a Victorian Programme our initial 52 page fully illustrated book gave you the stories, the pictures of the characters, the full show script and songs, and the tales along the road. Now due to demand for even great depth and more stories that did not make it to the initial book we bring you a new 200 page hard cover book that includes the show album inside the front cover and will be launched on this special night along with a new Toy Theatre design of the show especially for those Christmas Stockings. With other merchandise available including petticoats, waistcoats, hats and more besides it will be a night to remember for years to come ......
