"If they sell out before you can get a ticket, go down on your knees and beg" - Metro Magazine

Sold out at Auckland Arts Festival in 2013, The Factory returns for a strictly limited season ahead of an Australian tour and a month-long season at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Don’t miss your chance to see New Zealand’s first-ever Pacific musical.

It's 1974 and New Zealand is encouraging Pacific Island workers with a promise of new and prosperous lives.

Losa and her father arrive filled with hope and begin work in a textile factory run by business-minded Richard whose son Edward, heir to the family business, takes a shine to Losa.

Unscrupulous Richard, who is dealing with a rising workforce led by militant worker Mose, demands Edward stop seeing Losa, threatening anything to protect his business.

Distanced from Edward and with only the cold reality of factory life remaining, Losa begins to question the milk and honey dream.

Hilarious and heartfelt, this vibrant, funk-fuelled musical is a must see. Featuring an original score, live band, slick choreography, and a dazzling array of exuberant and soulful songs, The Factory is a clever and optimistic exploration of the migrant experience that will leave you beaming.

“The Factory will become a new pillar of New Zealand theatre: a classic that is performed frequently and inspires a generation of actors, singers and writers!” – Metro Magazine
