'Psychedelic blues-rock meets folk in a mash up of catchy covers and country madness.'

The Merlin Webster Experience is back at the Laundry Cuba Street on Saturday 31st May, starting at midnight after Newtown Rocksteady finish over at Southern Cross Garden Bar Restaurant! Big night! Ooo yeah.

If you didn't know, The Merlin Webster Experience is the psychedelic side project of Newtown Rocksteady's lead guitarist, Tim Key (a.k.a. Merlin Webster!).

He'll be backed by the dashing Jeremy Desmond (also from Newtown Rocksteady) on bass, and the lovable Ben Lovell (Melting Faces < check out their spanking new EP!) on drums.

The jams will be a mix of original Merlin Webster tunes, classic 60's-ish covers (think a bit of Hendrix, electric Dylan, Young with Crazy Horse... etc.) and if we're lucky a couple of Jeremy Desmond compositions!

Last time we played there it got pretty loose.. and that was a Thursday! Hopefully you'll come help us get real loose this time!

Free entry, just bring some koha for the koha hat!
