The Inaugural Poor Knights Crossing is a unique 30km downwind event from Poor Knights Island to Tutukaka in the Northland coast of New Zealand. Currently being reviewed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, this location makes this race a world first, and is timed to coincide with overseas paddlers transiting thru NZ on route to the Tahitian World Series 2 weeks later.

Surf Ski, Waka Ama (OC1)

Sponsored by Dive!Tutukaka and Strongarm, this is a 30km open ocean challenge open to surfski and waka-ama. A unique open ocean paddle event that starts inside the biggest sea cave in the Southern Hemisphere, heads through a natural rock archway and finishes inside the world renowned Tutukaka Harbour.

This is a downwind paddle race with alternative race courses that take in the challenging Tutukaka Coast that, until now, has been paddling's best kept secret.

Your entry fee includes:
Ferry ticket, race apparel, race stickers, timed finish and post race meal.

Entry is strictly limited (30 in each craft category), so be in quick! Entries will be accepted at the race director's discretion and a waiting list will be operated on a first on first off basis.
