"The Travelling Tulip" by Santie Cronje, explores the history of migration and the fusion of different cultures, using foreign and native fauna and flaura. Focussing on her Dutch and European Ancestry, Santie uses the Tulip - specifically - Semper Augustus - (now extinct) as a Symbol of the Dutch Explorers and travellers that have shaped and developed new Countries like New Zealand and South Africa. The show also features the Protea, Native to South Africa and other foreign Fauna like the Ibex and the Pheasant.
