Make sure you’re part of the brand new Tora Coastal Challenge this September, set in the heart of one of NZs best loved private walks – the Tora Coastal Walk.

Walk or run your way through stunning private farmland, native bush, and along the spectacular Tora coastline. With three course distances - including a team event - and varied terrain, there’s something to suit all ages and all abilities.

All participants start at the brand new Stony Bay Lodge, located on the Tora Coast.

- Coastal Cruiser - 6km family-friendly run or walk along the remote and unique
slice of the Tora Coast.
- Reef to Ridge – this 18km run or walk follows the Tora Coastline for 6km, before
ascending into lush native flora and private farmland, over the ridge through ‘old
man’ Kowhai trees to Whakapata Cottage
- Big Kahuna – 32km Run & Team Relay Run, covers the entire Tora Coastal Walk
course; 6km of the Tora Coast, 12km to Whakapata Cottage, then the gruntiest
section of the day – 14km of hill climbs and descents, with breathtaking views of
the Pacific Ocean as your reward.

Not only is there a family-friendly 6km leg that follows the coastline, but the three-person team event is perfect for corporates wanting an office challenge or a group of friends wanting to tackle something new.

Delicious food and great rural hospitality will be available from the Tora locals, and all entrants of the 18km and 32km course will receive a complimentary copy of the Tora Coastal Walk cookbook (RRP $20) for their participation.

Be part of something special this September. This event marks the 20th anniversary of the Tora Coastal Walk. All profits from this event will go to the Martinborough Community Centre project.

The event has had an overwhelming amount of interest, and capacity was reached in less than a week. Registrations are now closed.
