The lantern making workshop has become a tradition of Wynyard Quarter celebrations. Make and decorate your very own lantern, then hang them on the Gantry in Silo Park to be part of a beautiful birthday artwork. The lanterns will be lit after The Lorax.

3.30pm – Silo Cinema – The Lorax
An special early edition of Silo Cinema, The Lorax is an adaptation of Dr Seuss’ classic tale of a young boy searching for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

Bring a rug, your hot water bottle and someone to cuddle up with.

Throughout the day, there will be music and food at Silo Park, boat displays, and more.
