Iconic and Grammy Award-winning rock band Yes performs one New Zealand concert only in Auckland in November.

Yes will perform two of their classic albums in their entirety – the 1971 ground-breaking album Fragile and the 1972 album Close to The Edge, as well as an encore of the band’s greatest hits including the iconic ‘Owner of a Lonely Heart’.

Having sold more than 50 million records in its 46-year career, Yes continues creating masterful music that inspires fans and musicians from around the world and fans will also hear the band perform material from Heaven and Earth, their new studio album set for release this month.

With rave reviews and sell-out shows in the United States, Yes is thrilled to bring this very special show to New Zealand for the first time with the line-up featuring bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes and singer Jon Davison.

The album Fragile is considered to be the band’s break-through album peaking at No.4 on the Billboard Album charts in the United States. The RIAA-certified double platinum album has sold more than two million copies and features hit single ‘Roundabout’ and classics including ‘Long Distance Runaround’ and ‘Heart of the Sunrise.’

The band’s album Close to The Edge is widely regarded as one of the greatest progressive rock albums ever recorded and was on the US charts for 32 weeks, peaking at No.3.

A Rolling Stone review noted, “Yes’ colors are subtle, almost imperceptible tints, but the main strokes are bold and thick, applied with sureness and natural instinct”.

Inspired by Siddhartha and their ‘state of mind’ at the time, the Gold-certified album featuring epic suites including ‘Close To The Edge’ and ‘You And I’ and was named one of the “100 Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time” by Guitar World (2006).
