The home of the Newtown Community & Cultural Centre is turning 100!
You are warmly invited to help us celebrate the centenary of this historic building with cake and bubbles, followed later by an evening of music covering 1915 to 2015!
Saturday February 21st
4.30pm – 5.30pm
Please join us for celebratory cake and bubbles, and learn about the role this historic building has played in the community over the past one hundred years, from its first days as a Church of Christ building to a community hub for local events, programmes and other grass-roots organisations.
Do you have photos of you and your group using the centre? We would love to see them!
Feel free to bring them along on the day to add to our photo wall, or email them to us before the event.
Free entry and all welcome!
6.30pm – 10.30pm:
Come along for a musical journey from 1915 to today! Let some of Newtown's finest keep you dancing all night, starting with rag-time swing, 40's and 50's rock n' roll, through to 80's and 90's pop anthems, and into the latest hits of the 2000s!
Featuring: The Drinking and Dancing Society, Revolver, and Chocolate Box Deluxe!
Entry just $10 at the door - limited numbers.
