‘Matariki – 7 Sisters’ is a 7 screen installation created by Filmmaker Karen Sidney for Creative Northland. Based on the Star cluster of Matariki, it uses 7 Audio-visual screens to introduce and celebrate 7 wahine Maori artsts hailing from or living in Te Tai Tokerau. As Art is a medium of storytelling and communication, they talk about what is meaningful to themselves, as well as how they relate to Matariki.

Content for this Installation is re-knewed yearly, so a new group of 7 Artists feature every time.
