We are honoured to receive the following message from President of The Chinese Badminton Federation (a sanctioned body of World Badminton Federation)

Greetings from the President Jun-Yan Wu
I am pleased to have the 7th World Chinese Badminton Group Championships being held in Auckland, New Zealand for the premiere in the southern hemisphere.
To make more friends in badminton, build up strong physique for badminton players, World Chinese Badminton Championships was founded in 1993, as a platform to bring global Chinese together and compare notes in the game.
Twenty two years have passed. It’s my honour to say, the tournament is exclusive and distinguished as the most favourite badminton game among world Chinese. People are keen to bid for the right to host this meaningful tournament irrespective of whether in China or not.
New Zealand is a new emerging country of immigrants, the population is about 4.5 million, 9.2% of this is Asian. It is a land of immense and diverse landscapes. Wherever you travel in this country, there’s always an opportunity to put yourself in front of a fabulous view whether it is in Auckland(North Island) or Queenstown(South Island). If you indulge yourself in this picturesque and mild weather nation, you will be rewarded with a lifetime of good memories.
Finally, on behalf of World Chinese Badminton Federation, I would like to express my gratitude to the host, assisting host and sponsor and wish the tournament to be a great success.
