Palmerston North Choral Society is excited to present their concert, A Scottish Journey. The first half features the choral movements of Felix Mendelssohn's symphony-cantata, Hymn of Praise. Guy Donaldson will accompany on the piano, and Wellington soprano Imogen Thirlwall and local tenor Nigel Tongs are the featured soloists, supported by Choral Society chorister Esme Haigh singing second soprano.

The second half comprises a variety of famous Scottish songs, many based on traditional tunes and verses. Accompaniment will be provided by Myra Smith and James French on the piano, with guest artists Diana Neild (flute), Russell Poole (cello), Allan Rae (violin), Yvonne Rae (piano) and Stuart Easton (bagpipes).

The concert will be conducted by Choral Society musical director, Alison Stewart.
