After the success of Julius Caesar: Rome Inc., in 2013 and Othello last year, ProperJob Productions is bringing tragedy back to Te Manawa in 2015 with Antony & Cleopatra, Shakespeare's timeless tale of the consequences uncontrolled love.

Transported, for this production, to the bustling metropolis of Jazz Age New York and the steamy Mississipi delta, the story explores the continuing story of the conquering triumvirate from Julius Caesar, as Mark Antony's obsession with the beautiful Cleopatra absorbs all his time and attention, leaving his partner Octavius Caesar in charge, unsupported and increasingly angry, and Lepidus, the third member of the group struggling to find ways to keep the peace between them.

This year it is the Atrium of the museum which will be transformed into a performance space as this talented cast and crew find new ways to bring Shakespeare vividly to life.
