The hottest event on the New Zealand’s rural calendar is back for 2015.

The ANZ Young Farmer Contest is in its 47th year of displaying the finest of New Zealand Young Farmers across the country.

This year over 250 competitors battled it out across 22 District Finals for their spot in one of seven Regional Finals across the country.

This competition showcases all the talent and innovation that makes up New Zealand’s agriculture industry and continues to drive New Zealand forward, at home and on the international stage.

During the day, contestants are put through a variety of practical challenges, racing against the clock and each other as well as theoretical tests including business presentations and panel interviews.

The Evening Show is a test of the contestant’s knowledge across the Primary Industries as well as general knowledge, with a mix of individual speeches and quick-finger buzzer rounds.
With eight contestants in every Regional Final, only seven can make it to the Grand Final, and there can only be one winner.

Practical Day events are free entry. The Evening Show is by ticket only, visit our website.
