History of the Hobsonville Seaplane Station

Celebrate the historic links of Hobsonville Point to its life as an Air Force Base with an exhibition of banners created by Year 9 students from Hobsonville Point Secondary School.

The exhibition of images explores different themes, including military fitness, communication, aircraft technology and Air Force band music.

Historical Hobsonville Point images are connected to modern day photos, reflecting memories of the past in the present day.

Also on display are images sourced by Angela Thomson, and the Hobsonville Land Company that capture aircraft, Air Force personnel and the historic Mill House.

This exhibition will be open from 9:00am – 1:00pm in The Fabric Bay, next to the Hobsonville Point Farmers Market. Between 11:00am and 12:00pm, drop in to hear from Hobsonville Old Boys talking about life at 'Hobby'.
