Join us on our popular heritage boat tours aboard the historic William C Daldy steam tug, one of the port's first tugs dating back to 1935.

Tours run three times daily each Saturday and Sunday throughout the Auckland Heritage Festival:

26-27 September, 3-4 & 10-11 October at 10.00am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

This family-friendly tour will transport you back in time, cruising through commercial wharves and giving you a close up view of port operations.

Now 90 minutes long, the cruise will spend more time at the harbour bridge where the Daldy famously saved part of the bridge from floating away while being built.

Our port funds these tours, with all proceeds from fares going to the William C Daldy Preservation Society; a volunteer organisation that works to keep the Daldy afloat for Aucklanders to enjoy.

Bookings are essential so call 0800 AK PORT (0800 25 7678) to reserve your spot and enjoy a piece of our City's living heritage!

Bookings close at 5pm each Friday for tours following over the immediate Saturday and Sunday. You can still call booking lines to check on passenger loads. If there are spaces available you may be able to join a tour and pay cash as you board.
