Baker & Wright is a comedy podcast that was named New Zealand’s best Podcast in 2014… by its own hosts.

Presented by Billy T award winner Jarrod Baker, and winner of nothing at all, Adam Wright, the podcast has built up a loyal following since its debut in early 2013. For the 2015 Fringe Festival Baker & Wright makes a bold leap into uncharted territory: recording in front of a live studio audience. After almost two years of "practicing" (chatting to each other) in the luxurious yet compact "Baker & Wright studio" (spare bedroom) we are all set to take this show to the "next level" (Gryphon Theatre).

Baker & Wright live will feature some old favourite segments, combined with brand new features derived especially for the live show. For example in "Newsmakers" we take a look at the most important news stories from around the world - past news stories have included the man that found a penis in his Milky Bar, and a giant rat that piloted an abandoned cargo ship to Scotland to look for cheese. For the first time we'll also welcome special guests onto the show to chat about life, love and probably their own Fringe shows. Which guests will turn up will be a surprise (even to us at this stage). Who could they be? Ed Sheeran? James Reid? Beyonce? No, No and regrettably no. Inexplicably, none of these people have Fringe shows.

We are really excited to have a live studio audience in for the first time - so excited we have taken the laugh track out the back, shot it, set fire to it and buried the ashes in a swamp. Instead, we're relying on you for audience interaction. You might even win a prize (prize not guaranteed). Alternatively if you want to just come along and silently judge us that's fine too. So come along to the only podcast fronted by Jarrod and Adam in the Fringe Festival to enjoy an hour of laughs, special guests and catchy jingles. You will also be able to download the podcast from iTunes a couple of days afterwards. But that’s really for out-of-towners. The financial success of the podcast depends on everyone in Wellington attending. Non-attendees will be quietly derided and struck off our Christmas Card lists. Don't say you weren't warned. “Utterly Brilliant” – The Guardian (in reference to something else) “Probably the best podcast of all time”- someone on iTunes reviewing us.
