Lowell Manning is a life member of BIEN (Basic Income Earth Network). He was policy director for the NZ Democratic Party for 15 years and has developed a theory of debt modelling by revising the well-known Fisher Equation of Exchange (1911) to take account of interest-bearing debt and the unproductive investment sector.

This is a Friends of the Libraries speaker event. The Friends hold these events as fundraisers and use the proceeds to purchase items for the libraries. Previous purchases resulting from the Friends fundraising include couches, mats and furniture for the children’s and young adults’ areas, and community display boards.
