Be|Longing - a verbatim play about the experiences of migrants

Where do you belong?

'This is life, not Pac-Man. You only get one go.'

Be|Longing tells stories of immigration, discovery, settling - and unsettling - in Aotearoa/New Zealand and shows how Kiwi culture is seen through the eyes of others.

Created from conversations and interviews with people who have come here from all over the world, including Argentina, Ukraine, India, Iraq and England, this absorbing and fascinating play examines - and invites you to consider - what it means to feel 'at home' and where you feel a sense of belonging .

"Totally absorbing viewing. Our sense of where we belong is fundamental, after all, and it is also fascinating to learn how we appear to others. Through sharing their experience we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves." - Theatreview

Be|Longing is part of the Talking House National Verbatim Tour alongside The Keys are in the Margarine.
