Spring is the traditional season for sprucing up the place, so what better timing for a tidy-up.

Families, schools, business-owners and community groups in Beach Haven are invited to show their town centre streets, parks and beaches some love in this supervised clean-up event in Beach Haven, Sunday 4 October 10am-12pm.

All equipment is provided, the event will be led by Starting The Change’s Emma Wingrove, and the organisers, Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre, will shout a lunch party afterwards to thank all volunteers at Beach Haven Community House.

Groups of 5 people or more are asked to RSVP on 482 1172, otherwise just turn up – the Beach Haven meeting place is the village centre shops (by Amcal) on Rangatira Road at 10am.

This Beach Haven tidy-up is generously supported by Kaipatiki Local Board.

This is tidy-up is part of Mini Ecofest, an 8-day festival celebrating 'the good life', which is organised by Kaipatiki Project, the environment centre of the North Shore, from Saturday 3 October to Sunday 11 October.

Go to the festival website for all information and bookings.

Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre is delighted to host this mini-festival, supported by Auckland Council, which builds on the success of this year’s month-long Ecofest (March-April 2015).
