To coincide with the Wellington City Council 'Skyshow' fireworks display on Wellington's harbor, The Polish Association in New Zealand will be hosting their annual Polish festival on Saturday 7th November from 4:30pm - 8:30pm at Chaffers Dock Function Centre on Wellington's waterfront.

The 'Celebrating Everything Polish' festival 2015 is a free event and will immerse Wellingtonian's and visitors to our diverse city 'in all things Polish' presenting a kaleidoscope of cultural, art installations, educational displays and trade stalls.

This Polish festival is a celebration of our Polish culture in a festival format. Activities include stalls of various Polish wares and culinary treats, performances (representing Polish Language Schools & folkloric groups) with special guest appearance by Maciek Hrybowicz & Banda de la Casa and other entertainment groups, fun children's activities, cooking demonstration, art exhibitions and much more. A selection of trade stalls promoting various goods and services with a connection to Poland will be available .

The general purpose of the 'Celebrating Everything Polish' festival 2015:
- To showcase Polish culture to the greater Wellington population;
- The one event on the Polish community calendar that caters to all demographics, looking to bring all Polish community groups together;
- An opportunity for people of Polish heritage to connect with their history;
- Raise the profile of businesses opportunities between Poland and New Zealand
- Contribute to Wellington's cultural diversity;
- Foster cross cultural understanding.
