For the past 5 years, Mothers Helpers has been offering help and support to mothers who have postnatal depression in the Auckland region so that they can recover quickly and more fully, therefore reducing its impact on them, their child, their partner and wider family.

Their vision is to reach mothers across New Zealand who are struggling with this debilitating illness which affects approximately 15% of NZ mothers and is the leading cause of maternal deaths in New Zealand - UK and Australian statistics are showing up to 30% of mothers are affected by Postnatal Depression and Mothers Helpers believes this is more in line with the reality for NZ mothers.

Mothers Helpers celebrates International Volunteers Day by celebrating the work of Mothers Helpers' volunteers - not least is the work of Founder Kristina Paterson who has volunteered her time for the best part of those 5 years. Come and hear Kristina's story of how it all began, why she started the organisation and how they got to be where they are now.

If you are passionate about supporting families at-risk or like to hear an inspiring story about New Zealanders making a difference in our community, please join us for coffee and cake in the beautiful location of Mission Bay. Tickets are just $15.
