This will be an incredible evening drinking older vintages of one of the world's greatest wines. Glengarry has a long partnership with Bordeaux 1st Growth Chateau Margaux, importing it to New Zealand since the famed 1982 vintage. Tonight we will be hosted by Thibault Pontellier (Son of managing director Paul Pontellier) at Vinnies, one of Auckland's top fine dining restaurants. Chef Geoff Scott is preparing a special degustation menu specifically matched to some of the estate's greatest vintages of the last 30 years. The wines have all been selected as ones that are approaching maturity, and have been shipped directly from Chateau Margaux's cellar just for this event. We will be drinking the; Pavillion Blanc du Chateau Margaux 2011, Pavillion Rouge 2005, Chateau Margaux 2000, 1996, 1986 and 1985. Needless to say, this really is an amazing opportunity for a small group of wine lovers and will sell out very quickly.
