Cold Harvest Trust emerged out of the swamps, beaches and volcanic rock of Canterbury, New Zealand in 2009. They eventually settled on Auckland's north shore in 2011.

Whether as a duo or full five piece band, CHT plays a mixture of piano-driven pop/rock with an overlay of ragtime and blues. Whatever the 'official' genre, the heart of every song has always been the melody and its rich narrative. These are original songs reflecting tales of hope, hindrance, dream and disillusion. It is the spaces in between where shared experiences and memories take shape and linger as the true spirit of Cold Harvest Trust.

CHT's current incarnation is led by pianist and singer Andrew Cowie; guitarist Dave Gatman; and vocalist Aletta Johnson.
