As part of Parenting Week 2015, Kirsten Wyllie and Lynley Garratt from The Parenting Place will lead a workshop on ideas to build fun into your family life.

‘A child that feels right tends to act right’

Intentionally building fun in your family creates a positive atmosphere, but sometimes we just need to be reminded of some good ideas to try. Learn more about the importance of building fun and memories into your family life, collect traditions and rituals to enrich your family and discover how love languages can benefit all relationships.

Lynley Garratt has been involved with The Parenting Place for over 15 years, initially juggling occupational therapy with volunteering for The Parenting Place as a course facilitator and
coordinator. Four years ago she followed her passion to work solely as coordinator for The Parenting Place in Canterbury.

Kirsten Wyllie trained as a facilitator of Toolbox courses over 12 years ago, and shortly after took up the Parenting Place co-ordinator role in Christchurch. Kirsten’s background was as Training manager of a corporation, writing programmes and facilitating courses. Kirsten is passionate about supporting families. Both believe the parenting strategies they have picked up along through The Parenting Place have helped immensely with their own children.
