A Double Celebration! Pianist Mike Nock and saxophonist Roger Manins recorded a duo CD earlier in the year, Two-Out, featuring tunes they've been playing most of their lives. They’ll be launching it at CJC, Wed Sept 23rd to coincide with Mike's 75th birthday. A rare chance to hear these two exceptional players in a such an intimate and exposed setting, this promises to be a memorable concert.

2014 winner of Australia’s top music honour The Don Banks Prize, New Zealand born pianist-composer Mike Nock, ONZM, has remained a vital force on the Australasian music scene for more than 50 years. He spent 25 years in the USA, working with many jazz greats including Coleman Hawkins, Tony Williams, Yusef Lateef, etc., first gaining wide international attention with his group The Fourth Way in the late 60's. He has since firmly established his reputation as a leading musician through his many creative projects and large catalogue of award-winning recordings.
