Wondrous Vehicles / Kairava Gullatz

How about making your own amazing road, sky or water vehicles of the future? The material you will work with is soft white clay and you will learn about sculpting techniques as well as how to make small pots on a pottery wheel.

Summer 414
Life In a Jar / Katrina Edwards

Participants will complete at least two ‘nature containers’ assimilating found objects and/or plants sourced from nature. The course will introduce the terrarium making process, primarily concentrating on the completion of jars of two different environments (forest and beach) with a focus on discerning a selection of natural material and developing an appreciation for objects of natural history.

Pink Panther / Kairava Gullatz

This is a call for younger artists to come and enjoy making their favourite animal from soft clay! Children will enjoy shaping clay with their hands and learn about modelling techniques in a playful way. All works will be colour glazed and fired.

Paradise Platters / Kairava Gullatz

Beautiful ceramic dinner plates will be made by you during these two days. New Zealand’s stunning landscapes are the inspiration for using slip colours to paint and decorate the surface. A pottery wheel is available to throw small pots. All works will be colour glazed and fired to turn them into functional tableware.

Sense Like a Spider / Kathryn Tulloch

In this workshop 5 - 10 year olds will learn abstract drawing and painting by pretending to sense the world as a spider might. Children will be encouraged to exercise their sense of touch, close their eyes and use their imagination to create a large vibrant painting using watercolours on paper.

Fun Acrylic Painting / June Katz

Six - 12 year olds will be able to enjoy creating a variety of art works using acrylic paint as a primary medium in this workshop. Children will explore landscape composition and experiment with colour, tone and line. They will also develop their drawing skills and try out abstract painting.
