There will be cubbyholes for storing your belongings but these are not monitored and so we recommend not leaving valuables unsupervised. We take no responsibility for lost or stolen property.

How old do children have to be to skate?

We advise that children be 3 years and over to come skating. If your child is 6 years or under we strongly advise you bring a bike helmet for them to skate in, as well as some gloves to keep their hands warm.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to the ice rink. You will be responsible for placing any rubbish in the bin before you leave. Food and beverages can only be consumed in the spectator area.

What clothing is recommended?

Whilst skating will normally warm you up, it is advised that you bring warm clothing. Long-sleeved top and pants are recommended. Comfortable clothes that you can move freely in are ideal – and don’t forget, if you fall over, you may get wet depending on the ice condition. Always wear socks for warmth and comfort while you are skating. We also recommend that small children wear gloves to keep their hands warm.

I’ve never skated before and I’m worried I will fall and hurt myself

Don’t worry, rink staff will be on hand at all times to pass on some basic skating tips. We also have skating aids if you need some extra support.

Is it safe for children to skate by themselves?

Children are welcome to skate without parents/guardians. However children under 5 years should be accompanied on the ice by an adult. Children 12 years and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times – this can be done from the spectator area.
